Once you have approved the proposal in writing, Mike will conduct a full survey of the garden. This allows him to develop a better understanding of the site, particularly the outlook; the direction in which the garden faces; topographical conditions; where the boundaries lie; drainage and irrigation considerations and any changes of level in the garden.
A detailed understanding of these areas allows Mike to draw up an accurate, scale drawing of your garden which will be the basis of the new design (for very large gardens, it may be necessary to employ an independent surveyor).
Digital photographs will also be taken and samples of the soil taken away for analysis. This will ensure a suitable range of shrubs and plants is included when it comes to re-planting the garden.
